NFC Google review card not working: what to check
A card that does not react in front of a customer is a sale that turns against you. Most of the time, the cause is one of the four checks below.
The four checks
- 1.NFC is turned on in the phone settings (on Android it can be off; on iPhone it is always on, but the screen must be unlocked).
- 2.The phone is held close enough, on the right side: the NFC antenna is usually near the top of the back of the phone.
- 3.The card is not stuck on metal: a metal surface blocks NFC. Use a stand or a spacer.
- 4.The link written on the card is correct and still leads to the business’s review page.
Make the link changeable
If the card holds a short link that you control instead of the Google URL itself, you can fix a wrong destination without reprinting the card. Zetavio gives each card a short link that also counts the taps.
Frequently asked questions
- Does a QR code on the back help?
- Yes: customers whose phone has no NFC can scan it. Point it to the same short link.
